Parenting resources

The purpose of the KidzZone at Faith is to help kids develop a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ.  It is also our passion to partner with parents so that they can take the lead at home in being the primary spiritual influencer for their child and helping their kids develop that thriving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7 says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be pressed upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

As a part of our partnering with parents we have resources that help you engage in spiritual conversations with your kids.  We want kids to be able to take the things they learn on Sunday and stretch it throughout the week!  Each of the resources listed below are designed for parents to engage your kids at home and help you as parents to grow in your effectiveness as parents.

Small Talk

Small Talk sheets are designed to engage parents with preschoolers about what they learned on Sunday morning.  Small Talk sheets include activities to do through the week with your preschoolers.  These sheets can be picked up at the classroom where preschoolers are checked in.

God Time

God Time sheets are designed to help kids develop a consistent time with God.  There are four days on a God Time sheet that engage kids as they spend time with God.  These God Time sheets can be picked up at the classrooms where elementary kids check in.

How to Make Sunday Last All Week

The How to Make Sunday Last All Week brochures are filled with information on the Refrigerator Door and God Time sheets as well as an explanation of points kids can earn each week.  The point system is set up to encourage kids to bring their Bible, bring a friend, memorize Bible verses, finish their God Time sheets, and do a daily devotion.  Kids accumulate points to redeem at our “store.”  These How to Make Sunday Last All Week brochures can be found at the elementary classrooms and brochure racks in the hallways.

Parents who partner with the faith community are the best way to bring the next generation into the family of God-and keep them there.
