Our Values

At Faith, we do our ministry like Jesus did His by…

...applying the Bible in relevant ways to every situation. We value the Bible.

Matthew 4:4 – Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

What it looks like at Faith:
        • The Bible is the foundation for our teaching.
        • The Bible has the answer for how we live today.
        • We encourage everyone to read, study, memorize and apply the Bible for themselves.

...praying about everything. We value prayer.

Mark 1:35 – Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

What it looks like at Faith:
        • Prayer is part of every ministry decision at Faith.
        • We pray for each others’ needs and celebrations.
        • We encourage, equip and empower people to pray.

...honoring God with the way we do our work. We value excellence for God’s glory.

John 17:4 – I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

What it looks like at Faith:
        • Strive for excellence in everything we do.
        • God has given us the resources and abilities to pursue a high level of quality in programs and ministries of the church, and in doing so to give glory to Him and not to ourselves.
        • Evaluate everything we do for God–honoring excellence.

...being compassionate toward everyone. We value love.

Mark 1:41 – Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man.

What it looks like at Faith:
        • Our compassion for the souls of man compels us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ which changes lives and destinies.
        • Our love for our neighbors and the “least of these” is demonstrated in acts of mercy, grace and selflessness.

...thinking intentionally about ministry. We value intentional ministry.

John 18:37 – In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth.

What it looks like at Faith:
        • In prayer, we decide, plan and act in alignment with our church’s purpose and values.
        • We seek to understand the vision of what God desires our church to be, we set goals which move us toward that vision, and we evaluate our progress.
