What is Awana Turbo? Awana Turbo is the new second service children’s program on Sunday mornings at Faith Church. Awana Turbo is the unique combination of the best features of an Awana program and the best features of a KidzZone Sunday morning program rolled into one!
What is Awana anyway? Awana International is a worldwide, Bible–centered ministry dedicated to equip churches to reach kids, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. The acronym “AWANA” comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
What does Turbo mean? The “Turbo” in Awana Turbo is the part of this program that will not look or sound like the traditional Awana club. Awana Turbo will be available to 1st through 4th graders during the second service on Sunday mornings. 1st and 2nd graders will be completing the Sparks program of Awana, with the official Sparks handbooks and awards. The 3rd and 4th graders will be completing the Truth and Training (T&T) program of Awana with the official T&T handbooks and awards.
Awana Turbo mornings will start with scripture memory in the 1st through 4th grade classrooms. As scripture memory work is completed, children will move to a game and activity time. Then the morning winds up with a powerful large group time with a worship and teaching time.
