Missions — Care for a Missionary

Full–time missionaries are on the front lines of spiritual warfare day in and day out. They are all highly committed to Christ and their calling, but sometimes the demands of their jobs can be exhausting. We need to share their burdens and truly develop a “partnership in the gospel”, as the Philippians did for Paul (Philippians 1:3–6).

We urge individuals, families, or small groups to choose one of our church’s missionaries, and begin to care for them in the following ways:

Prayer: In order to stay informed about your missionary’s ministry and prayer concerns, send them an e–mail and ask them to add you to their prayer list, then take the time to pray for them regularly.

Family Reading a LetterCorrespondence: Send them a response when you receive their letters to let them know that you have taken the time to read and pray over their prayer requests. Remember their birthdays and anniversaries with a card.

Care PackagesCare Packages: If you are financially able, ask your missionary whether there are small personal items that you could send to encourage them.

Home Missionary Assignment: We need to welcome our missionaries with open arms and let them know how much we value them. If they visit Ft. Collins for a short time, they may need lodging and meals.
