As a church and as a Student Ministry, our Sunday morning primary emphasis is WORSHIP. Being with the whole body of Christ in the main service (either hour) to learn together, to encourage each other, and to commune with God together is God’s desire for His family, and we want to encourage that to happen. Whether it’s sitting with your family or with others, there’s so much to gain by being there! Other generations of people gain as well by seeing your joy and enthusiasm in worship, and your thirst for God’s truth. You (as a High School student) are significant in this church, and your presence in our main services makes a difference! Without you, it’s like something important is missing.

Having an opportunity to SERVE in the body of Christ is our secondary emphasis. If you are willing, there will be places during the other main service time to plug in and serve: children's ministry, main service music, FX middle school, greeting, hospitality, etc. This is just an open door that we encourage you step through to use those gifts God has given you to benefit others. This is what we’re calling Sunday Serve. If, however, you could only do one of these (worship in the main service or serve somewhere), engaging in the main service would be priority. But if you can, we would like you to both worship in the main service and serve during the other service time.

Our goal is for all of us to be engaged in the main worship service at Faith Church on Sunday mornings, and for as many that can to be active in serving.

Why this focus?

God has always put a burden in our hearts for you, whom we deeply love, and that entails the calling to help give you every opportunity to not just to know (cerebrally) about God's family--the church--but to BE the church! We long to see each one of you experiencing the joy of really connecting with all generations of people in this body, growing with them and serving them. It has been our experience over the years to see that the students who’ve gone on to thrive with Jesus to this present day (as healthy adults), each one held on to the value of worshipping and serving with the whole body. Why? Because life in Christ has always been deeper than just being with peers. My prayer is that you experience your unique role in this family of God and taste the blessings of it. If your heart is in it, this is one way to “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind and strength… and love your neighbor as yourself (Matt.22.37-39).”

Encounter - every Sunday night!

Encounter happens every Sunday night from 5:00-6:15 pm. There will be games, prizes, conversation, music, video, a challenging and engaging message, and more. Each week there will be some sort of food (for free) and the Cafe Avenue. Cafe Avenue will have additional food, snacks, and drinks available for purchase (at nominal fees). The Cafe will be open each week from 6:15 - 7:30, so can grab some dinner with your friends. Encounter is a great place to invite your friends who are in High School.

high School community groups

"Community Groups" is what we call the small group ministry of FX. It is in these groups that you will find accountability, encouragement, a connection point, and growth as you discuss important life happenings with a group of students the same gender and grade as you. Community Groups happen all throughout the week (times vary from group to group). If you are interested in joining a group, contact the church office.
